How long do beeswax candles burn?

One of the benefits of beeswax candles is a very long burn time. You might be wondering why is it important to have a long burn time? I’d like to share an email we’ve received from one of our customers to illustrate this point clearly:

Hi Dorit & Art!
I would like to thank you for the long lasting candles you are selling! I am a wedding décor specialist and known in the industry for my love of candles. I usually have a beautiful welcome table set up for guests at the beginning of the wedding and of course many candles spread over dinner tables. Candle light creates the most amazing and romantic ambiance that no light can replicate! I have noticed lately that the cheap candles I have been using (specifically tea-lights) would last for an hour and a half tops. As a perfectionist and an artist it really bothered me that the beautiful setting I have created lasted for only the beginning of the wedding and have been looking for long lasting candles for a very long time. After doing an extensive research online I have decided to try beeswax candles (I have to admit that in the beginning I didn’t believe it would last for so long!). I have ordered a big box of tealight and votive candles and gave it a try. Boy was I surprised! The candles lasted for 6 hours and the votives kept burning and burning and burning… I am pleasantly surprised and very happy to have solved this issue. Thank you again for the great product and the useful blog posts.”

So how long do beeswax candles burn for?

We’ve prepared a list for you with our most popular candles and their burn times.

Candle Type & Burn Times

Because beeswax candles are handmade and use only natural ingredients, they tend to be more costly than regular paraffin candles. However, when you look at the cost per hour of burn time, as opposed to the cost per candle, you will be positively surprised!
